Keira's Calendar Art inspired by Raewyn Harris

This Art was inspired by  Raewyn Harris.
The goal is to have some thing that is related to NZ eg a koru.
 I learnt to put lots of patterns all together with colours that go together.
My next step is to try colour with no white bits in small areas.

Music rap

WALT to compose and create a rap (with a beat if possible) about bullying

 How did you go about achieving this? I contribute to my group by not making them do all the work.
What resources were used to help you? My team, rhyming words and our music books.
Did you go through the process on your own or collaborate with other people? I collaborated with Libby and Paige.
How did you find the process? We all thought of a idea and put it all together.
What did you enjoy most about the process of creating a rap? My favourite part was sharing my rap.

What might be your next step? My next step i s to think of a longer rap.

This is my rap

Trying to be cool,
on my way to school,
so my class mate don't call me a fool. I say "hi" but they
say nice try.

You give me a smack so hard that I hear a crack
You're so mean I just wanna be free.

You make me ache I wish I was fake 
You say my name but you don't wanna get the blame 

You just wanna claim to take the fame

Measurement term 2

                                                                 My Measurement goal is to find perimeters and areas of common shapes

eg for perimeter   🔲 25cm you can do 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 = 80 then 5+ 5 + 5 + 5 =20  80 + 20 = 100 cm

eg for area           🔲 5cm you can do 5 x 5 = 25cm squared

To find the perimeter you need to add all of the lengths together.

To find the area of squares and rectangles you need to times length by width.

Read bigger books.

I can get bigger books from the library and try reading it also for the 40 book challenge.
I read every night so I can improve on my reading, I can also help myself move to bigger books.
I have to keep reading big books because I stop after reading 3 or 4 pages. I also have to read through the boring bits in books to get to the interesting bits.
